ABOUT ME -

Hello!
My name is Petya Petrova. I was born in 1980 in Vidin,
Bulgaria. I have graduated at the South-Western University.
My specialization is Applied linguistics with German
and English. I have devoted myself to the professional
translating of all kinds but I am mostly experienced
in software localization and translation of web sites
from/to English, German and Bulgarian. Some of my
recent translations are for sites such as www.huntservice.com
(from German to English), www.itodorov.com
(from Bulgarian to English). Besides I am very interested
in literary and poetry translating - transplanting
a literary text from one culture into another, from
one language into another. I have talent to do this,
I love the words and I like to play with their meaning
and rhythm. "A metaphor often used for the translator
is that of a conduit, which is somewhat deceptive
yet accurate, if we take into account that the essential
components of the conduit-in other words, the cultural
and educational background and all that contributes
to the intellectual and emotional composition of the
translator-affect the material that is transmitted
through this conduit." These words of Mohammad R.
Ghanoonparvar are inspiration for me.

charges are based upon the number of characters
in the source text. If you have the original
text in electronic format, it will be possible
to do a character count using a word processing
